輻射偵測中心肩負全國各項環境輻射偵測工作，陸續開發建置各項資訊系統，全國環境輻射監測網、緊急應變輻射即時監測系統、全國矩陣網狀偵測點系統、環境試樣放射性分析數據系統等，以提供政府現有災害防救體系有效連結機制。隨著資訊系統不斷增加，資訊機房軟硬體的複雜度不斷提高，為降低伺服器硬體設備龐大的成本，同時增加硬體的利用率，建置伺服器虛擬化平台，有效整合資通訊資源。

Radiation Monitoring Center is in charge of environment radiation monitoring nationwide and has successfully developed several information systems, including a nationwide environmental radiation monitoring network, a real-time radiation monitoring system for emergency response, a nationwide network detection point matrix database, and an environment radioactive sample analysis data system. These systems serve as efficient interfaces for the government's existing disaster prevention and relief systems. As more information systems are developed, the complexity of software and hardware in the server room increases. In order to lower the cost of hardware of the servers as well as optimizing hardware usage, Radiation Monitoring Center has built a virtualized server platform to integrate ICT resources effectively.
